My friends Michelle and True Mee had this great idea with this pink paper background. Here's a quick preview of the results.

Did a studio shoot with Corena. She's so cute and full of energy. I swear she totally wore me out during the shoot!

I'm gonna start with a few of the more conventional photos. We'll get to more fun and colorful photos in the next post. :D 

All of these photos were taken with natural light of the studio space.

My friend Sarah has this stunning blonde hair. But she said she was gonna chop it off! Nooooo!

So I convinced her to do a beauty shoot with me before she did. Good thing too, her appointment is next week. LOL

It also gave me a chance to try a few different lighting techniques and I think the results turned out wonderfully!

Also, before anyone asks, the "blur" is not Photoshop. I was using my Canon 50mm/f1.2L lens. That gives crazy thin depth of field. There's actually a few shots where the focus "missed" and the eyes are not in focus, but say an ear is. >_< It's an awesome lens, but you gotta be super careful with the focus when it's that wide open.

My co-worker James and his wife were nice enough to have me in their home so that I could get some experience shooting family portraits with their son and newborn.

So cute! OMG. LOL

Check out the photos, I have to admit, it was definitely different then many of the other shoots I've been on before, but it was great capturing a slice of the family. 

Ok, this morning was very COLD. I mean like, freezing. This is in contrast the beautiful sunny day just the previous weekend.

So to keep the summer going, at least online, here's a couple more photos of the lovely Paizly from our beach shoot. I also included an artsy shot, since the water was so nice and clear in the morning.

I saw these really interesting shadows when we walked by this alley. The shadows were being cast by the fire escapes above us.

So I had her pose in the shadows and telling her to make these tiny adjustments so that only parts of her face would be in shadow and parts would be in the sunlight. She must have thought I was nuts until I showed her the results. :D

Had a wonderful photo shoot with Allison in San Francisco. Once again, we somehow shot for like 6 hours. Time always flies when we shoot together. Here's a quick preview shot.
